Ryubukan was founded at 1976 by late sensei Takashi Ogata, where we practise pure and original Wadō-ryū Karate-Dō. Wadō-ryū is mainly mixture of Okinawan Karate and Shindō Yōshin-ryū jūjutsu.
Everyone who is interested in Wadō-ryū karate is welcome to train at Ryubukan. You can start at any time by joining the normal exercises. We train in Espoo’s Matinkylä and at the Espoo center. See below for more information on practice locations.
Ryubukan is member of Finnish Wadō-ryū karate federation, which organize courses and contest’s everywhere in Finland and also group trips to the Wado events all over the world. All members of Ryubukan are allowed automatically to participate to the events organized by Finnish Wadō-ryū karate federation. Wadō-ryū Karate-Dō Academy instructor Sensei Minh Tran Hieu 7.dan Renshi visits in Finland twice a year by invitation of Finnish Wadō-ryū karate federation.
